Hi my name is Esther Mandel, I'm 31 and OTD for over 11 years now & before I was raised in a modern family that didn't even talk any Yiddish. Here's the story I wanna share with you... I went away this weekend with one of my ex chasidisha BF's, Saturday night we decided to go for dinner and had to drive for a few minutes, as we drove my friend put on some Yiddish music, (something I probably didn't listen to for years) to make a long story short, I got glued to the talented beautiful music and got really TOUCHED by every single song... All I can tell you is that I'm writing now with tears as I decided if some chasidisha guy can give out such a heart warming CD that should actually make me cry, I am making a total 360 and I feel like I have to share this with you... THANKS FOR BEING THE FIRST AND RIGHT PERSON TO SPARK ANY FLAME although I don't exactly understand every word, I asked around for your number and I really hope as soon as I feel like I can keep shabbat fully, that I can spend it with you (if your family is OK with that) I recommend every OTD person to listen to the beautiful talented work and realize how even from Chasidem know how to sing and bring out the real Yiddisha love.
